Welcome to the Wisconsin Trout Unlimited web site. We are the State’s leading cold water conservation group. Our mission is to protect the State’s cold water resources and habitats against threats that could impair those valuable resources. And, yes, many of our members are avid trout fishermen and women.

It’s hard to believe that another early trout season has come and gone. Those of us who enjoy the quality of the early season fishing look forward to the opportunity to enjoy the great trout fishing Wisconsin offers during the early season. It passes quickly.

But the end of the early trout season signals the start of our major conservation efforts for the year. Habitat improvement projects have or will get started around the state. The number of those projects grows every year and is approaching 100. The projects improve quality habitat, increase fish populations, reduce erosion, benefit species other than trout that live along creeks, and provide chapter members with the opportunity to roll up their sleeves and join fellow TU members working together to accomplish some good conservation work.

If you are already a TU member, thank you for supporting our efforts. We appreciate the membership of each and every individual who has chosen to join our group. If you are not a member, give us a try. You will meet a great group of people and find any number of opportunities to become involved with conservation.
